1. Shottr
Best features / what is it:
Shottr is basically like Screenshot X but better and free.
It replaces the original Mac screenshot tool with a new one but it looks exactly the same and brings so much more cool, time saving stuff when it comes to taking and then editing screenshots on your Mac.
Here are a few of my favorite features:
Everything’s quicker (retaking the screenshot, deleting it, copying it etc. All of these actions are only a single click with this app)
Easy cropping.
Blurring or removing text using AI content aware fill.
The little things like arrows look so much nicer and modern compared to the default screenshot tool on Mac and they’re also much more customizable.
Built-in color picker.
Ability to drag the screenshot preview anywhere to instantly place the screenshot there (like a folder or a chat w/ someone)

2. Yoink
Best features / what is it:
Yoink is a drag-and-drop utility for Mac that helps move files, apps, and anything that can be dragged to a different location.
It adds a shelf where you can place your files and then when you navigate to your desired destination you can transfer them there from your shelf.
Price:
$8.99 (but also available through Setapp)
3. Numi
Best features / what is it:
Numi app takes the calculator on Mac to a whole different level.
It allows you to describe tasks the natural way and instantly get an accurate answer.
I use it as a notepad/calculator app because it accepts any sort of text input. It’s very easy to just open it and type something that you need to calculate and remember. Numi is like a scratch paper that’s also a calculator.
It also saves everything when you close the app so the next time you open it you see what you’ve calculated previously.
After starting to use this app I’ve never gone back to the default calculator app on Mac.

More useful Mac apps
Honestly there’re so many utilities for Mac that literally save hours everyday and without them it’s almost impossible to be productive especially with an out of the box Mac OS experience.
So I’ve put all the best utilities I use and some bonus ones that I think are just cool in this custom YouTube playlist here, there are apps you’ve never thought could even exist.
